More Businesses Take The Pledge!

Help Us Welcome Three New Lake Friendly Businesses!

Plastic-Free MKE's Lake Friendly Program continues to expand with the commitment from three new businesses. The Ivy House, Filament, and The Starling have become the newest Lake Friendly Businesses to pledge to reduce single-use plastics in Milwaukee! Not only have these venues taken steps to reduce and eliminate single-use plastic waste in their spaces, they also have an exclusive partnership with a Green Certified caterer.

Located in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward and Fifth Ward, each venue offers something different, such as walls of Cream City Brick, skylights, botanical walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase a spectacular view of the river. If you are looking for a unique space with an eco-friendly focus to host your next event, check out The Ivy House, Filament, or The Starling.

Petition: Tell Tea Companies To Stop Using Plastic In Their Tea Bags

More companies have begun to package their tea in bags made from plastic, either nylon or polyethylene terepthalate (PET).
