Plastic-Free MKE is hosting a Plastic-Free Picnic on Saturday, July 22nd to show our appreciation for everyone involved in the Plastic-Free movement - coalition partners, volunteers, Lake Friendly partners, and members alike! There will be fun yard games, great company, and good eats from two Lake Friendly Businesses, Amaranth Bakery & Café and Transfer Pizzeria. We are so excited to express our gratitude for your dedication to the plastic-free movement with some hard earned fun!

On Thursday, June 22nd at 2 PM, the Plastic Pollution Coalition will dive deep into the challenges that plastic pollution poses to our oceans and our bodies, how polluted waters disrupt the mental health benefits we gain from access to healthy oceans and waterways, and how we may restore our planet as well as our own physical and mental well-being.

Attend: Chill on the Hill

Chill on the Hill, brought to you by the Bay View Neighborhood Association and Milwaukee County Parks, is a weekly free summer concert event with live local music, food trucks, and fun for the whole family! Carry-ins are allowed, and attendees may bring blankets or chairs to sit on to view the event. Dogs are welcome, on a short leash! The event happens Tuesday evenings at Humboldt Park in Bay View.

Milwaukee Water Commons

Milwaukee Water Commons (MWC) is a cross-city network that promotes the stewardship of equitable access and shared decision-making for our common waters. For over a decade, this local non-profit has been fostering connection, collaboration and community leadership using the Water City Agenda to guide the impact of their work. The Water City Agenda consists of 6 Initiatives: Drinking Water, Water Quality, Blue Green Jobs, Arts & Culture, Education & Recreation, and Green Infrastructure. Striving to establish Milwaukee as a true model water city, MWC celebrates our shared connection to water by engaging and empowering individuals to join the process of solution making.
