Winter Community Meeting

Join us at our first community meeting of 2025 on Wednesday, February 12th from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Urban Ecology Center - Riverside Park Branch (1500 E Park Pl.). We will share our coalition's 2025 goals and discuss ways that you can help us achieve them by taking action and volunteering with us this year! This is your chance to connect with us in-person and meet others who are plastic-conscious! Enjoy light snacks and hot chocolate. Please bring your own mug to the event to enjoy the hot chocolate because we are trying not to use any single-use disposable cups. Registration is not required, but encouraged.

Stuff Swap

We are partnering with the Kinnickinnic River Neighbors in Action, Sixteenth Street Community Health Center, and Milwaukee Riverkeeper for our first Stuff Swap of 2025. Join us at the Pulaski Park Pavilion (2677 S 16th St) from 11:00 am-2:00 pm to swap household goods, clothes, home supplies, gardening tools, and more! Please refrain from bringing large furniture as we have limited space and transportation. All remaining items at the end of the event will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul

 

Registration is not required but encouraged! If registered, you will get a reminder email one week before the event with important details and tips.

Reduce: Milwaukee's Winter Farmers Market

The Fondy Food Center hosts an indoor Winter Farmers Market at The Table (5305 W. Capitol Drive) every Saturday from 9:00 am-2:00 pm providing the community access to local produce, groceries, and products. This is a great way to reduce plastic waste by purchasing produce from local vendors that have little to zero plastic packaging! Grab your reusable bag and head to the market for some plastic free groceries.
