November Sewing Bee!

  • Shorewood Village Center 3920 North Murray Avenue Shorewood, WI 53211 United States (map)

Please join us at our November Boomerang Bags Sewing Bee! You can help make reusable shopping bags for the Shorewood Public Library and Metro Market! Shoppers and readers who forget to bring a bag can borrow one and bring it back for someone else to use. Newcomers and regular attendees are all welcome. This will be the last Sewing Bee of the year, so don't miss it!

We'll gather at the Shorewood Village Center (lower level of the Shorewood Public Library, 3920 N. Murray Ave.) on Sunday, November 24, from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Volunteers must be at least 13, but no sewing experience is needed. You can help iron, pin, or sew. We’ll provide fabric and supplies. You don’t have to bring anything, but you’re welcome to bring a portable sewing machine, an iron and ironing board, or any tools to use. If you have bags to drop off, you can bring them along. If you'd like to sew at home, you can pick up precut pieces.

We also welcome donations of fabric and clean reusable shopping bags. To find out more, join Bring Your Bag Shorewood on Facebook or write to BringYourBagShorewood @ gmail.com.
