Founded in 2015, Dead Bird Brewing specializes in high ABV craft beer with a focus on their community by aiming to "make the most amazing beer we can make and whenever possible participate in charitable events, community outreach projects, and fundraisers in our distribution area." Closing the Loop is the world's first feature-length documentary on the topic of creating a circular economy. This film explores the meaning of "going circular" and how we can move from our current economy of take-make-waste to a circular economy of borrow-use-return. Together, we will learn the five key strategies necessary to achieving a circular economy and see featured cases in which this process has been successfully implemented. We will leave time after the screening for a community discussion.

Take Action: Petition the International Maritime Organization to Stop Plastic Pellet Pollution at Sea
Nurdles, or small plastic pellets, are not currently classified as persistent, hazardous pollutants under the International Maritime Organization. A spill of plastic pellets in May of 2021 was the largest the world has ever seen and continues to have detrimental environmental, social, and economic impacts. This petition aims to encourage the IMO to establish guidelines on the transportation of these pellets to avoid events like these in the future.
