The problem with plastic…
Every bit of plastic that has ever been created still exists. We depend on plastic and now we’re drowning in it. Our rivers and Great Lakes are feeling the impact of the plastic epidemic, and it is threatening the health of aquatic wildlife and our communities.

Fun fact:
We love our beer. And rightfully so. With over 30 of the nation’s best breweries, we’ve mastered the drink.
Cheers!
Not-so-fun fact:
Because we’re drowning in plastic, beer brewed with water from the Great Lakes now contains 4.05 man-made particles per liter, 99% of which are plastic fibers.
(Give up beer? Or give up single-use plastic? I mean, it’s really a no-brainer.)
Fun Fact:
Here in Milwaukee, we have access to one of the world’s most valuable resources. Right. In. Our. Very. Own. Backyard. ( Read: the world’s largest supply of freshwater, aka The Great Lakes).
Not so fun fact:
Plastic is toxic to our health. Every year 22 million pounds (or 779 dump truck loads!) of plastic pollutes The Great Lakes, thus polluting our lifeline—clean drinking water.
